ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly creative, digitally-focussed Design Lead with a deep understanding of brand and experience of creating modular, flexible but highly expressive design systems for digital platforms.
Your awareness of the constraints around building modern, responsive interfaces will only be matched by your desire and ability to push at those constraints and create digital experiences that are that vital bit richer than the rest.
You will be comfortable thinking about how the products you design fit into and build upon a brand’s design language and their broader ecosystem of products, services and communications. We want designers who can craft and obsess over the detail without losing sight of the big picture.
You will have at least 5 years experience at a digital product design studio, or working client-side for a brand. A mixture of both would be ideal.
You will be passionately interested in design and technology more broadly and unafraid to share your opinions and ideas with the team.
You will ask questions.
Senior designers at BB own the interaction design of projects from start to finish. They are active participants in defining the process, scope and ambition of a project, not passive recipients of a brief.
The role involves engaging directly with clients in workshops and other forums to learn about their challenges and opportunities and help shape our response to them. You will be an unwavering advocate for great design and be able to present your designs in a compelling way that builds trust and respect between you, our clients and the wider team.
Hands-on design is the core of the role however and the ability to creatively and working closely with the Design Director to rigorously explore how a brand is expressed through an interface will be the day-to-day. Senior designers will also need to delegate and be able to brief and mentor more junior members of the team.
